On Nov. 26, KINTEX attended, as a sponsor the 71st UFI general meeting in Bangkok. At this meeting, it set up its promotional booth to actively introduce its facilities and exhibitions, and it exchanged related information between participants. Also, as a part of active publicity activities, KINTEX staged road shows
both in Hong Kong and Shanghai from Nov. 23 to 24. Through these road shows, it could seek out various business opportunities to cooperate with the varied exhibition centers in Asian countries by building an area network.


KINTEX hosted a 2004 end of the year party in the Orchid Room of the Hotel Westin Chosun on December 2, and invited many leaders of the exhibition/convention related associations and civilian top PEOs and PCOs.

This event began with the keynote addresses given by Hong Ki-hwa, CEO of KINTEX. The speech dealt with the current construction progress of KINTEX and future international exhibition hosting plans were explained. All of the attendees shared their opinions and knowledge for the development of Korean exhibitions with the invited experts in this industry. Through this event, KINTEX presented a strong image as a leading exhibition center in Northeast Asian exhibition industry to the most influential invitees and secured a mutual cooperative basis with them.



On December 13, KINTEX finalized their business agreement with the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization (president Shin Hyun-tae) to create a strategic business affiliation. The main agreements included the co-hosting and co-supporting of domestic/international
exhibitions and conventions, setting up and operating an administrative committee for hosting exhibitions and conventions and hosting internationally famous exhibitions at KINTEX.

The two parties also agreed not only to install and operate their co-advertising booth in various events like the 2005 International Conference Industry Fair, IMEX 2005, etc., but also to co-host many exhibitions held by the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization inside KINTEX, these would be like the International Travel Souvenir Design Competition 2005 Korea and the Gyeonggi Tourism Exhibition. Furthermore, to promote and activate the exhibition and convention industry within the Gyeonggi province, they would actively cooperate in offering mutual space for the development of tourism products and programs, tourism information services such as the Incheon International Airport and KINTEX exhibitions and conventions, to name just a few.


KINTEX concluded a business agreement with the Gyeonggi Small & Medium Business Center (CEO Han Jeong-gil) at the office of the KINTEX construction site on December 14th, 2004. The main gist of the agreement includes, but not limited to, mutual information sharing for the activation of
the small and medium-sized venture enterprises within the Gyeonggi province and support their marketing, developing mutual cooperating businesses, as well as, mutual support for the both parties' events, etc.

KINTEX held the second anniversary of its founding with the attendance of all its staff members in the auditorium of its Ilsan-gu office on December 18, 2004.
